IRRIWEST Project, entitled “ICT tools for the enhancement of irrigation efficiency in West Africa”, is a collaborative three-year project approved on the 2012 Call for proposals of the African Union Research Grants Programme.

IRRIWEST Project is aimed at enhance irrigation practices in order to optimize water resources management and increase agricultural productivity in West Africa, contributing to increased food security and poverty reduction strategies.

The IRRIWEST Project Consortium is led by NEIKER-Tecnalia. It involves CORAF/WECARD, ISRA and CSIR-WRI.
